Pledis Entertainment (Korean: 플레디스 엔터테인먼트) is a South Korean entertainment founded by Han Sung-Soo in 2007. The company is home to K-popartists After School, Orange Caramel, NU’EST, Han Dong Geun, Bumzu, Seventeen, Pristin, Pristin V, and NU’EST W. Its name originates from the pleiades, a star cluster in the constellation Taurus.

PLEDIS is a major record lable & comprehensive entertainment agency in Korea whose name is inspired by the Pleiades, a star cluster in the constellation Taurus. The business philosophy of PLEDIS is to nurture K-Pop idol stars-in-training to become the most luminous stars of K-Pop.

To make this happen, PLEDIS brings together young talent and youthful thinking, applying innovative planning and fresh concepts. And through the creative cultural content produced by maximizing the talents and indivisual strengths of our K-Pop idol stars-in-training, PLEDIS generates new value.

PLEDIS has had great success with their girl group After School.  However, many fans see After School as a one-hit wonder because they have not made a lot of noise ever since “Because of You”.  However, still to this day After School has a strong following in China and Japan and still ranks in the mid of Korean song charts.
