Jimin (BTS)’s fans around the globe are preparing “massive” birthday projects with the goal of turning this October into “Jimin’s month”.
Recently, Jimin’s fansite, Fate, has announced that they will run birthday videos ads to celebrate his birthday at Times Square, New York for seven days from October 9 to 15 as one of their seven activities in celebration of the male singer’s birthday.
In addition, Filipino fans are planning to operate 50 fly-cams with the theme music of Jimin’s solo song “Serendipity” and his self-composed song “Promise” at Eton Centris Walk located in Manila, the capital of the Philippines, on October 11.
Jimin’s Chinese fandom, Jimin Bar China, is planning to hold a large-scale event when sending promotional videos for Jimin’s birthday to all cinemas of CGV – South Korea’s largest multiplex cinema chain – across the country to celebrate the singer’s birthday. The above commercial will be played on about 800 big screens at 167 cinemas across the country from October 7 to 13. This will be the first time an artist commercial film being played on big screens before movie premieres – the thing that was only feasible for big corporations in the past.
Besides, the “Jimin train” decorated with Jimin’s face of Seoul’s subway line 2 is expected to be operated from October 3 to November 2. Fans will also provide special boarding passes having Jimin’s image imprinted on them for 250,000 Eastar Jet international flight passengers in October and November.
Notably, fans from around the globe also make many donations and charity project to plant forests, build schools, help disadvantaged and poor children, cancer patients, and even adopt an emperor penguin – the spirit animal of Jimin.
Jimin will spend his 24th birthday on October 13. Currently, he and the group are preparing for the “Love Yourself: Speak Yourself” concert which is about to take place on October 11 at King Fahd Stadium, Saudi Arabia. After that, BTS will wrap up their first stadium tour with 3 shows in Seoul on October 26, 27 and 29.
