BTS sold nearly half a million copies of “BTS WORLD” OST

BTS has set a new record of selling approximately 500,000 copies of the OST album entitled “BTS WORLD” after 2 weeks since released.

On July 11, according to the Korea Music Contents Association, OST “BTS WORLD” recorded sales of 498,455 copies, topping the Gaon’s album chart of June.

BTS WORLD is a game which tells the story about the early days of BTS’ debut and their process of growing into a world-class artist. Through the game, users can become a manager and are provided with various contents such as sharing their feelings with the members via 1:1 videos, voice calls, messages or SNS. The users can also collect and upgrade “BTS cards” containing the members’ voices and images as well as having a chance to enjoy more diverse stories by using these cards.

On the standard Billboard 200 chart released on July 13, 2019, the OST Album “BTS WORLD” climbed to No. 72 and attracted an enthusiastic overseas response.

On the other hand, Anne-Maria’s album “2002” brought home two victories upon dominating Gaon’s Monthly Digital and Download chart. Despite being released on April 20, 2018, it was not until January 2019 that “2002” could enter Gaon’s Digital, Download, and Streaming chart. Finally, after 14 months of steady growth, the album has won the top spot on Gaon’s Digital and Download chart in June.

Moreover, on the June streaming chart, the song “If there was practice in love” (Prod. 2soo) by Lim Jae Hyun held the No. 1 position.
